I managed to get 9 traps out yesterday for coon before I went to work. I should have slept in a littelonger but..., I couldn't. I ended up working about 12 hours and decided to run my line before I went hame and went to bed. At the first spot I went 3 for 4, next spot went 2/3 and I think I win the bone of the month award for not taking the dogs off a #220 . Then I came home and ran my 3 yote sets in the back yard and this is what I had: Yep, yote #8 for the year! All in all it was a good night. I caught 5 coons out of 9 taps and another yote. Here is a pic of the total catch. Running Total: Coons: 5 Yotes: 8

Well I mangaed to get a new property set yesterday. I ran my line after deer hunting with the wife this AM. It was not as a productive night as I had hoped. I caught: 1- coon 2- rats 4- beaver the other night I caught 1 more coon and a feral cat. Here is pics of a beaver in a #220, a coon in a snare and one of the 4 dams on the property. Running total: coon- 14 rats- 2 yotes- 8 beaver- 4 feral cats- 1

1st pointer is make sure of the laws on snares in your state. Every state has different laws on them as to deer stops, loop size, etc...,
2nd: What do you want to catch? You need different size loops for coons, beaver, yote, fox, and they need to be different hieghths off the ground.
3rd: If you are going to try for yote make sure they are anchored solidly. Don't wire them to dead trees...., it won't hold. If you are going to stake them use double stakes. Also if you can drive another stake where the yote can wrap around it, 99% of them will be expired before you get to them.
I will wait for you to answer my ?'s then give you some more help. THere is alot of things to share/type and I am not a very fast tyrist, so I will focus on what you are targeting.

You will need about and 8" loop and about 6- 8 " off the ground. Find a spot in the trail that norrows to funnel them right into the snare. A little dab of red fox gland lure about 4' off the ground doesn't hurt either. Good luck.
